" It is the oldest Oriental Medicine University in the US"
When I decided to study Oriental Medicine I wasn’t sure where the best place for that was. I applied to six different schools and was accepted into all of them. That didn’t make it any easier for me to choose which school to attend. I toured many of the schools and studied their catalogs and curriculums. I chose Samra University because it is the oldest Oriental Medicine University in the US, their tuition is comparatively affordable, and I would be able to complete their program in less than four years. The Supervisors and teachers at Samra really care about the students, and each have a genuine desire to make sure that we will all be the best acupuncturist we can be. They make classes challenging and enjoyable. I have made a lot of great friends here among the student body and the school faculty. I am glad I made my decision to come and attend Samra University.
" The rich curriculum, the more personal, in-depth teaching style"
As a child, I was weak in health, and Chinese medicine helped to improve my physical condition. Being brought up in such an environment, I found myself drawn to all these mysterious herbs. My passion for herbs and plants made me very enthusiastic about my biology classes I took as part of my undergraduate education at Denison University. I wish to continue my studies of herbs and plants to assist in finding a way to care for people with the help of Chinese medicine. Samra University is the best gateway to achieving my goal. The rich curriculum, the more personal, in-depth teaching style of small faculty to student ratios, and the outstanding facilities and communities are but some of the more humble reasons why I believe this to be where I will find my calling.
" I feel I am in the right place to discover my career"
“I was studying nutrition and became interested in natural healing. Studying nutrition didn’t include any aspect of natural healing. I then looked into Oriental Medicine at Samra University. I started with one class, Intro to Acupuncture I. It led me to the path that I wanted in natural healing. I feel I am in the right place to discover my career. The faculty members have become my mentors at Samra.”
