Mission To provide innovative services to patrons; To be an education and information providers; To make our library the leader of all of the oriental medical libraries and information centers. Circulation Students:
- Students can borrow books, video audiocassettes, and CD-ROMs except Reference items. A student is limited to a maximum of four items. If 4 items have been checked out, no more items may be borrowed unitll some of the items have been returned.
- The normal lending period for books and audiocassettes / multimedia kits is for one or two weeks. An item may be renewed once if the item does not have a "Hold Request" on it. When a renewed book is returned, it must remain in the library for 24 hours before it cn be checked out again.
- Materials must be returned to the library desk by closing time on or before the due date. A fine of $0.25 per item per day will be charged on overdue items. There is no grace period.
Faculty Members:
- Faculty members can borrow books, video audiocassettes and CD-ROMs but not a student various non-circulating items including reference items. Faculty member is limited to eight items.
- The lending period will be decided at the time of checkout and will depend upon the needs of the faculty member and the demand on the item. The item may not be kept for more than two months if a hold request on the item.
- Fines for late items will not be waived for faculty members. Faculty members will also be responsible for paying fines on lost or damaged items.
Other Patrons:
- Other patrons including alumni and community borrowers can borrow books, video audiocassettes, CD-ROMs except Reference items. Other patrons are limited to two items.
- The lending period for books and audiocassette / multimedia kits is one week (Sorry, no renewals).
- Materials must be returned to the library desk by closing time on or before the due date. A fine of $0.50 per item per day will be charged on overdue items. There is no grace period.
All patrons are responsible for returning materials in good condition. Fines will be assessed for damages. For badly damaged or lost items, the patron will be charged the cost of the book plus a $10.00 processing fee, in addition to any fines which have accrued. Training Computer Using:
We'd like to answer any question about the computer usage. In addition, each patron can make an appointment for computer training at the circulation desk.

Our training focuses on two databases : PubMed and CINAHL.
