- Do you have a list of all the books and journals in the Library?
The "list" is the library's catalog, it is online and publicly accessible. You can search by title, author, subject, abstract, call number or ISBN/ISSN. The catalog will show you the availability and the status/location of the material you want.
- What can I do with the online catalog?
You can check the availability of the book you want, make a reservation or renew your loans online without physically access the library. Also you can check your circulation record by entering your user ID and last name.
- Why can't I find a particular book/journal on the shelves?
If the book/ journal you are looking for is not on the shelves, check the following:
- Books are arranged by call number from A to Z in ascending order, for example, A precedes B, and A10 precedes A11.
- Journals are alphabetically arranged by title, letter by letter. For example, JAMA is shelved before the Journal of Internal Medicine .)
- The material is only available in electronic format, you can access it by clicking the URL link of this particular record in the online catalog.
- The material is held by someone else. Please, check the online catalog and make a reservation.
- The material is misplaced in the library.
- Where can I search a particular article about oriental medicine or medicine in general?
PubMed is the premier bibliographic database developed by national library of medicine. It covers every aspect of medicine from experimental research to clinical practice. It is free to search PubMed database.
- I want to practice oriental medicine after I finished my studies, where do I find exam and licensing information?
In different states, the requirement for practicing massage and acupuncture are different. Click the certificate resources to know if you need a license, what are the educational requirements and where to apply.
- I'm interested in Oriental Medicine. Can I get more advanced education?
Click the education and school, we have collected many institutions where you can get accredited oriental medicine education. Some of them offer master and PhD programs. Iin the near future, we will provide more information about learning outside America.
