Title of Practitioner: Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.)
Education and Examination Requirements:
1800 hours from ACCAOM plus NCCAOM certification
Practice of Acupuncture by other Health Care Providers:
Medical doctors, osteopaths and dentists may practice acupuncture in Texas without any specific training.
Chiropractors may practice acupuncture with proper training. “Proper training” is not defined or mandated.
