Education and Examination Requirements:
No specific training is identified as a prerequisite to practicing acupuncture in Kansas .
Acupuncturists may practice under the supervision of, by order of or referral by a medical doctor, osteopath, naturopath or chiropractor. General supervision requires that the acupuncturist and physician practice in the same office.
Practice of Acupuncture by other Health Care Providers:
Medical doctors, osteopaths, chiropractors, dentists and podiatrists may practice acupuncture in Kansas without any specific training.
