Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.)
Education and Examination Requirements:
1548 hours of theory, 800 hours of clinical training and California 's own exam.
Practice of Acupuncture by other Health Care Providers:
Medical doctors and osteopaths may practice acupuncture in California without any specific training.
Acupuncture is not within the scope of practice of chiropractors.
